Stephanie holds a Master Diploma from Eastern School of Acupuncture and Traditional Medicine in Montclair, NJ (2009). She is a Licensed Acupuncturist (L.Ac.) in the state of Pennsylvania and a Certified Diplomate in Acupuncture (Dipl. Ac.) as recognized by the National Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and the Council of Colleges of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (CCAOM). Stephanie also holds a B. S. in Holistic Health from Empire State College and an A. S. in Physical Therapy (LPTA) from Harcum College (2001).
As an intern, Stephanie's desire to help people was evident when she applied to volunteer at the Veteran's Hospital in East Orange, NJ. Along with a very select group of peers, she was given the unique opportunity to proudly offer acupuncture to our Veterans and was among the pioneers who built the foundation of a back pain study. While there she treated neck, shoulder and back pain, anxiety, stress, depression and other physical and emotional concerns. She was very grateful to be able to give them some relief from their pain and have the opportunity to give back to our veterans.
Her decision to study acupuncture resulted from her positive experience as a patient herself, for treating her chronic back pain and anxiety. She did not want to start a road of medication and sought acupuncture to find relief. Also, she watched her Mother suffer and lose her battle with cancer. The loss and inability to ease her Mother's pain motivated her to find alternative ways to help others through difficult times; hence, began her journey studying acupuncture. Since 2001, she transitioned her practice from physical therapy, to medical massage and ultimately, started practicing acupuncture in 2009. Collectively, she has been in the health care field for 19 years. She takes special interest in treating pain conditions. Specifically, neck, back, shoulder and knee pain as well as, anxiety, stress, depression and hormonal imbalances such as, menopause and menstrual irregularities.
Stephanie's passion for helping others shows from the moment she speaks with you to the minute you walk out of her door. She has a gift for making patients feel welcome and comforted.
When she is not treating patients, she enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, gardening, traveling, listening to music and spending time outside. She welcomes you to contact her with any questions or interests you may have regarding acupuncture!
